LAPS THRIFT CART

We are grateful for the many wonderful donations of pet supplies we receive from the community.  We use the majority of these items caring for LAPS animals, but due to the generosity of our supporters, we have a surplus of some items that we can offer to Lopez pets on our Thrift Cart. Proceeds will be used to provide food and medical care for LAPS critters.  Thanks for your support!   While the very nature of the Cart suggests portability, it will have its regular home at ARK VETERINARY CLINIC.  A "Suggested Donation" notice is posted by the cart at the clinic to help you determine the appropriate donation for the items taken.  Thanks!

MICROCHIPPING

Microchipping  is the insertion of  a tiny chip between the shoulder blades of your pet by a Veterinarian.  The chip is no bigger than a grain of rice and contains a number which registers your pet into www.petLink.net/,  an international database.  If your pet goes missing, the system will alert you when he's found.  It's like having an un-removable collar on your pet.  A Vet simply points a scanner at the spot, and your number comes up.  What's more, it is as painless as having a shot and it's long lasting (the life of your pet).
We, at LAPS, have chipped our personal pets, and will have our foster pets microchipped before they are adopted.
